If you’re new to the platform, the Fiverr Terms of Service (TOS) can be confusing. There’s a lot of words, a lot of pages, and even more rules. The TOS is unsexy, but knowing it can save your skin. Well, good news! I’ve made it super-easy for you.
The Old Way of Learning Fiverr Terms of Service
As someone who has been on Fiverr for 10 years, I just know Fiverr’s Terms of Service. It’s been a long process of gradual osmosis learning from my own problems and problems shared by other members of the community.
That’s how most Fiverr users learned. It’s how many still do.
Still, The Terms of Service used to be a lot simpler. As the site got bigger, so did the rules. Part of this is due to regulations, but a lot of it is internal. It’s like learning a new language: you never really stop learning, since you’re always learning new things.
But if you’re new, it’s just a whole pile of boring, but very important crap.
Where do you even start? Customer Support is rarely that useful, since even they don’t know the TOS as well as they should! In the end, you’re left with asking people, and people don’t always give the most reliable advice.
But you know what?
That Was the Old, Hard Way to Learn Fiverr TOS
Nobody wants to learn a website’s entire Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Payment Terms, Community Standards and a dozen other strings of boring legal jargon.
How many times have you signed up to a site, any site, and just clicked the “read and agree” button without reading? I know I do it!
But on Fiverr, you need to know this stuff. One mistake could cost you your account and your income. That sucks.
But you know what doesn’t suck?
ChatGPT. Since it launched its custom GPT assistants in November 2023, I’ve been tinkering about with them, creating all kinds of stuff. One of them is the Fiverr TOS Expert, which I just opened to the public today.

If you’ve got ChatGPT Plus (paid ChatGPT), then you can access the ? Fiverr TOS Expert ? right now. It’s free, but you will need access to ChatGPT Plus to use it. My suggestion would be to find someone who has ChatGPT plus who can give you a referral code.
Or rather, TOS Expert, since OpenAI won’t let me use “Fiverr” in the name of the bot.
I could have just used Fiver or Fiverrr like some of the other custom GPT assistant creators do, but guess what? I asked my own tool about the legality of it, and it gave me a clear response (conversation link), even reaching out into its own wider knowledge of trademark law.
Fiverr’s TOS Are Now a Cinch to Understand
Because this is ChatGPT, you can really do almost anything with it.
- Ask if something you want to do is OK or not before doing it
- Get an ELI5 summary of a specific area of Fiverr’s Terms of Service
- Quickly find relevant TOS when you need them
- And whatever your other TOS needs are
But you know what I think the killer feature is? Chat GPT now makes Fiverr’s English-only TOS easy to access in a huge variety of languages, since ChatGPT is quite the polyglot. I’ve included a complete list at the end of this post.
How Does the Fiverr Terms of Service GPT Work?
This is a very simple custom GPT assistant. I’ve loaded its knowledge base with the core legal pages of Fiverr:
Beyond that, I’ve instructed it to consult the Fiverr Terms of Service for every question people ask it and give clear, easy-to-understand answers and quote the relevant part of Fiverr TOS as a reference.
You might be thinking, “this doesn’t need a custom GPT!” and yes, you’re right. It doesn’t. However, ChatGPT can’t access Fiverr and relies on its outdated memory (welcome to hallucination city, baby).
If you upload these files yourself in the course of a regular conversation, then ChatGPT will forget half of it before it responds to you. (you’re still in hallucination hell).
The best solution right now is to put everything in a knowledge base – and that’s where custom GPTs work. Could you make your own?
Yes, very easily. But why would you, when that’s already been done, tested, and published for you?
And by someone who checks the TOS once a month for updates and will refresh Fiverr TOS Expert custom GPT when that happens?

What Languages Is the Fiverr Terms of Service In?
Fiverr’s TOS is in English. There’s a note somewhere in them that says only the English version of TOS matters. You can look that up pretty easily now ?
